Other coverage

Sometimes the simpler answer is the right one.

Most of this site is about indexed life insurance, because that's what I spend the most time on. But it is not the answer to every question, and pretending otherwise would be a good way to sell you something you don't need.

Mortgage protection

Term life sized to your mortgage, so that if something happens to you, the house gets paid off instead of sold. It's the least glamorous product I write and often the most important one. Cheap, simple, and it does exactly one job well.

Final expense

A smaller permanent policy meant to cover a funeral, the last medical bills, and the odds and ends that follow. The point is that your kids make decisions about your service without also doing arithmetic.

Medicare supplement

Coverage that fills the gaps Original Medicare leaves behind. I'm appointed with multiple carriers, so the conversation is about which plan fits rather than which one I happen to sell.

Debt-free & mortgage-free strategies

A structured way of attacking debt in an order that gets you free years earlier than paying minimums does. It's less a product than a plan, and for some households it's worth more than any policy I could write.

How I decide what to recommend

  • Coverage need comes before accumulation. If your family isn't protected yet, we solve that first, with the cheapest thing that does it.
  • Cheapest adequate beats most profitable. Term costs a fraction of permanent. When term is the right answer, term is what I'll recommend, and I'll tell you plainly that it pays me less.
  • One product per problem. Bundling things that don't need bundling is how people end up over-insured and under-served.

Let's have one honest conversation.

Fifteen minutes. You'll walk away understanding more than you did, whether or not you ever buy anything from me.
